Applied Management Systems (AMS) is a startup management consulting group based in Abuja. The group is made up of management professionals with over 50 years of combined work experience working largely with Civil Society, Public and Private Sector groups in Nigeria. Using proven tools and approaches developed by globally renowned development institutions, AMS provides consulting services on leadership and management development, management systems development and strengthening and organizational sustainability.
What we do
AMS typically supports organizations to align their structures, strategies and systems with their shared vision. We do this by working with groups and teams to set up organizational management systems that enable managers make meaningful management decisions in view, of the growing demands from managers to back their decisions with evidences that are easily accessible and interpretable. To our minds, organizations that are able to do these in addition to having productive work climates, are more likely to respond appropriately to changes in their environment and achieve improved services and human development outcomes.
Our approach
The reason d’être for the existence of Applied Management Systems is enabling groups achieve improved human development outcomes. We do this by developing the leadership and management skills of frontline staff and by supporting their abilities to achieve results with the participatory development and implementation of necessary and appropriate systems for managing the internal components of the organization.
